Sigh. I'm a noob. But not a total noob. But, apparently, enough of one.
Am using Lion OS 10.7.2 and Chrome (latest version) but the following also happens on Firefox AND when I tried to log in from an iPad AND from a Windows machine at work:
I had a site. It was a sad little site. I made it in Sandvox (that it was a sad little site was not Sandvox's fault but my own).
This morning I went in to install Wordpress and get things moving along, because I've hired someone to help set that up but am an A.D.D. brain and can't wait long enough for them and plus, I'm not a TOTAL noob. So I wanted to get started with some of it.
But I must be enough of a noob, because now I can't get ANYTHING to come up. I deleted the pages I'd uploaded through Sandvox via the Cpanel, in the filemanager, from the public folder. I deleted a couple of things that were (I thought) the things I'd uploaded before.
So, now in my public folder I have the following four folders: .smileys, wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes.
There's no index file (ouch?).
I created several pages in WP (home, links, contact us) but haven't posted anything to the pages yet.
I can't get to the pages, though, because when I type in the address (allexportswisconsin.com) or the alternate address (aewisc.com) which is/was set up to point to the first one, the browser (any and all of the above mentioned ones) all jump to the wrong place: http://www.allexportswisconsin.com/A...nsin/Home.html
ACK! HELP!
Thanks,
Dani
