Host image on website for html email signature.

    Hi All,

I'm trying to include an html signature when I send out mail using Apple's Mail client. I've found online how to get it into Mail once the image is hosted somewhere. The missing link for me is how do I host this image on my MacHighway website? Is that even possible? Thanks!

    Hi, Captain Audio

You most likely want to use an FTP client to upload the image into your "public_html" directory, I would also suggest you create a new directory in their to put this image in. Something like "applemailasignature"

Also I would make sure the images below 100 kb (image file size). Additionally in Apple mail signature section you can choose to drag the image located on your computer into the window this would cause the image to be attached to every e-mail you send not requiring you to have it executed from an remote source.

    Thanks Kyle,

Ok, I've had success and this is how I did it. I downloaded and used ClassicFTP for my ftp client. I posted my image in a subdirectory of the public_html directory called "Email_Signature". I could then link to it by "http://mywebsite.com/Email_Signature/xxxxxxx.png". Note that "public_html" was not necessary in the address.

For what it's worth, I used TextMate (http://macromates.com/) to modify a signature template I downloaded from box.net (http://www.box.com/shared/pvfvfly9nl) and followed the directions detailed at http://gatheringinlight.com/2007/12/...or-apple-mail/ to get it into Apple's mail client.

    Hope this helps others!
