    SSL Set up

    Hello, first poster here.

I have been informed my site does not have ssl. I have read the knowledge base article at:

    https://customers.machighway.com/kno...yarticle&id=26

but that tells me little about having my site 'protected'. I have some confusion as to whether this is an application for forms/email/data transfer or a general protection blanket. I have only seen it when setting up email clients.

The question arose when trying to set up a Web Disk and use the downloaded web disk application to upload. The disk app. work erratically and tech support said:

"...won't work without giving errors, since you don't have an SSL setup..."

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Frank,

You will want to turn off Secure Web Disk That will be the solution to your problem. You can register an SSL for your site, but that's going to cost $55 and isn't a guarantee that the secure Web Disk will work. Again, the solution is to turn off Secure Web Disk and just use Web Disk. You may also want to investigate using Dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com) as a different means of transferring files.

If you do need SSL for secure web transactions, please send us an email to support@machighway.com and we'll be happy to send you the full rundown of how you establish this.
