Use these instructions to setup your email account using
Outlookor Entourage's step by step Assistant.
Double click the Outlook Express or Entourage icon to open the program.
In the menu bar select Tools > Accounts.

This will bring up a new window. Click
and hold on the New button in the upper left hand corner.
This will display a short list of account types. Select
Mail...

In the Display name field type your real
name (i.e., Bob Smith). Click on the right arrow in the
lower right hand corner to proceed.

This will bring up another new window.
Make sure the "I already have an e-mail address that
I'd like to use" radio button is selected. In the e-mail
address field, type your new email address. Click on the
right arrow in the lower right hand corner to proceed.

In the pull down menu, select POP as your
incoming mail server. In the Incoming mail server field type mail.machighway.com.
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field type in the name
of your ISP's outgoing (or SMTP) server. (Why do you recommend using my ISP's outgoing mail server?) Their technical
support will be able to tell you what that server is named.
Click on the right arrow in the lower right hand corner
to proceed.

Type your username in the Account ID field. Your username is the same as your email address except that it has "%" instead of "@"
in the middle. In our below example the username is yourname%yourdomain.com. Enter your password for this email address in the Password field. Your username and
password for this email address can be found on the email
entitled "Your POP Email Is Set Up" that MacHighway
sent to you. Click on the right arrow in the lower right
hand corner to proceed.

Type in a name you'd like to call this
profile. I chose My MacHighway Mail, but you can use any name
you'd like. Click finish. You are now ready to start using
your new email account.

Manual Setup
Use these instructions to setup your email account using
Outlook or Entourage's Manual Setup option.
Double click the Outlook Express or Entourage icon to open the program.
In the menu bar select Tools > Accounts.

This will bring up a new window. Click
and hold on the New button in the upper left hand corner.
This will display a short list of account types. Select
Mail...

You will be asked to select the type of
email account this is. From the select menu, choose POP
and click OK.

The next screen that appears where be
where you assign your settings. In the "Account name"
field, type in a name you'd like to call this profile. I
chose MacHighway Mail, but you can use any name you'd like.
Check the "Include this account in my "Send &
Receive All" schedule" button.
The next set of preferences on the screen is for Personal
Information. In the "Name" field, type in your
real name (i.e., Bob Smith). In the "E-mail address"
field, type in your new email address.
In the next section on this screen, "Receiving mail",
under Account ID, type in your username. Your username is the same as your email address except that it has "%" instead of "@"

Enter your password for this email address in the Password field.
In the "POP
server" field, type mail.machighway.com. Check
the "Save password" button and type in your password
for this account. Your username and password for this email

Email Is Set Up" that MacHighway sent to you.
On the "Sending mail" section of this screen,
in the "SMTP server" field type in the name of
your ISP's outgoing (or SMTP) server . (Why do you recommend using my ISP's outgoing mail server?) Their technical support
will be able to tell you what that server is named. Click
OK and you are rady to start using your new email account.
