Support Topics: Email: How To: Add an autoresponder (vacation message)


1. Login to http://mail.machighway.com/cgi-bin/qmailadmin with the username: postmaster, domain name: your domain name without www and using your FTP password as the password. (detailed instructions)

2. Once logged in you will see the main menu. Click on Email Accounts.

3. On the next screen click the "Modify User"icon next to the address you want to add the autoresponder to.

4. On the next screen, click the checkbox next to "Send Vacation Auto-Response".

5. In the "Vacation Subject:" line, enter the subject line you would like your automated email response to have.

6. In the "Vacation Message: " dialog box, enter the content of the message that you would like your automated email response to have.

7. Click the "Modify User" button to activate that change. Congratulations, you have now setup an autoresponse to all emails sent to that address.

8. TO DISABLE THE AUTOREPSONSE: Follow instructions 1 - 3. Then, uncheck the "Send Vacation Auto-Response" by clicking on it.
