Uploading & Publishing

Support Topics: Publishing: How To: Publish your site using NVU

Double Click the Nvu Icon to launch the program. On the left panel, under the Nvu Site Manager, click the "Edit Sites" icon.

In the resulting window, you'll first type in your site name. This is an arbitrary field, to be used so that you can tell which site you're working with. In the next field, type the full URL of your site, including "http://" . Under the Publishing address field, type ftp:// followed by the server name as listed in the email with the subject line "From MacHighway: Your MacHighway Account Information" and ending with the host directory, which in all cases will be "public_html". So, this line should look something like this: ftp://exampleserver.machighway.com/public_html

Type your FTP username and password into the respective fields and click ok.

You are now setup to publish pages to the server.

You can download a copy of Nvu here
