What you would use this for: To offer fast loading video to your site without sacrificing any of your allotted bandwidth. Uploading your video to YouTube will also convert your Quicktime video to Flash video without requiring you to buy additional software.
What You Need:
A Quicktime Movie
1. Go to http://www.youtube.com/ (external link) and register an account with them, if you don't already have one. Once you're a member, login to YouTube.
2. Once logged in, click the "My Account" link near the top of the page.
3. Under the "Video" heading, click the button that says "Upload New Video".
4. Give your video a title, description and assign it some keywords that relate to your video.
5. Click the "Upload a video..." button at the bottom of the screen.
6. On the next page, click the browse button to find the movie file that you want to upload on your hard drive. Once you've found the correct file, click "Open". The path to your file will now appear in the text field next to the browse button. Click the "Upload Video" button to begin uploading your video to YouTube.
